Dysautonomia Management

Dysautonomia is an umbrella term for problems with the autonomic nervous system.  This part of your nervous system controls involuntary functions like heart beat, breathing, temperature control, digestion, blood pressure, and bladder control.  Dysautonomia can occur on its own or be a result of another disease.  Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), Orthostatic Intolerance (OI) and Ehler-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) conditions can be very debilitating and require a holistic approach to recovery.

Our wellness coach Emily Maguire is a dysautonomia warrior who started experiencing symptoms at the age of 13 and received a diagnosis finally at the age of 41 after multiple hospitalizations and heart ablation at age 30.  Emily’s clinical experience as an occupational therapist and personal experience with dysautonomia enables her to guide each client to achieve their maximum wellness.
