Supplementation of current outpatient/home health programs

There is a lot to consider when choosing what services is right for you.  Fortunately, being ill or needing special care doesn’t always require trips to the hospital or an extended stay in a rehabilitation center.  Today people can receive therapy in an outpatient setting or in their homes from home health care.  Traditionally, people are referred to home health therapy or outpatient therapy if there is a decline in function or change in medical status.

Outpatient therapy requires a physician prescription or signed order for outpatient Physical, Occupational, or Speech therapy.  These services are either fully covered by your insurance or may require a copay.  Typically, outpatient therapists will see 1-3 clients at a time, 1-3 times a week, and utilize exercise machines.

Home health therapies require an individual to be home bound and a physician’s order.  Services are covered 100% by your insurance and are provided in your home no more than 13 visits between all home health disciplines in a 30-day cycle. What does this mean?  Well, if you have a wound requiring nursing care then you may not be able to receive therapy services during your home health.

Morpheus Wellness aims to fill the gap left by traditional rehabilitation services covered by insurances.  Our wellness coaches are licensed therapists with specialized training in wellness to be able to provide our clients with a comprehensive and holistic recovery program.  Not only can we address your physical limitations, but we also provide 1:1 services in your home or preferred treatment setting to help you with your sleep, continence, pain, vision, cognition, and nutrition.  Many of our clients chose to receive Morpheus services 1-2 times a week to supplement their home health or outpatient therapies.
